Position Description
St. Paul’s is seeking a full-time Communications Specialist—Digital Content Creator with a focus on social media and marketing to join our dynamic and collaborative Strategic Communications team. This individual will work closely with the Chief Marketing and Enrollment Officer and Communications Directors to support strategic priorities and drive content creation that strengthens community engagement and elevates the visibility of all three schools.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and motivated communications professional who is passionate about storytelling, digital media, and building strong connections with internal and external audiences.
Job Responsibilities
Social Media and Engagement
- Develop a social media plan in partnership with executive director/directors and communications specialists. Manage the social calendar for our three schools.
- Regularly update all social media channels, curating content to tell engaging stories that reinforce the schools’ brand voice and messaging strategy.
- Execute social media campaigns around key strategic initiatives in partnership with the Admissions and Advancement teams.
- Maintain a network of social champions/contributors, including parent ambassadors, to boost social media reach for the school. Reply to comments and messages to strengthen engagement.
- Track social media, email, and website stats quarterly and report performance to CMO. Use stats and analytics to inform our planning.
- Develop creative ideas to boost the visibility of our posts and increase engagement among various audiences.
- Pursue professional development opportunities around digital/social media marketing.
- Engage employee and student content creators.
Writing, Editing and Graphic Design
- Write for social media, website, magazine, emails, etc. as needed and assist the directors with editing content submitted by employees.
- Ability to assist with print and digital design (including flyers, mailers, banners, signage, social media and email graphics) is a bonus, although not required.
- Coordinate print jobs with vendors as needed.
Website and Emails
- Help plan and develop website content, news, and calendar. Ensure that website copy is current, accurate, and optimized for search (previous experience with SEO strategies and Google Analytics is helpful).
- Act as liaison with the schools’ web vendor regarding customer service/site issues and updates.
- Assist as needed with the schools’ weekly electronic newsletters.
Videography/Photography
- Support our team photographer by filling in as needed during classroom activities and events on campus to capture high-quality video and photographs.
- Produce and post videos, reels, etc. for the website, social media, and other channels to help us tell our story and articulate what makes our family of schools so special.
Administrative Support
- Provide administrative assistance to the executive director/directors as needed, including acting as a producer/scheduler for campus video shoots.
Key Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative spirit and the ability to build positive relationships within the communications team and across departments
- Familiarity with social media management tools, current trends, analytics, and SEO strategies with an interest in using data to inform creative strategy
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- A natural storyteller with a creative eye and a passion for crafting engaging, audience-focused content
- Close attention to detail, along with the ability to thoughtfully plan and manage a communications calendar
- Flexibility and willingness to occasionally support evening and weekend school events as needed
- 3–5 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, media, marketing, graphic design, film/video, or a related area
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and website content management systems is preferred

The St. Paul’s Schools has a compensation scale based on direct years of experience. For this opportunity, our salary range is $58,000 to $65,000 annually. Candidates with additional experience or qualifications may be offered a salary outside of the range shown.
