This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic marketer to take The Post Oak School’s marketing communications activities to a new level. We have recently launched a new website and introduced new messaging to more effectively position the school in a competitive marketplace.

We are now seeking a new team member with a genuine interest in education marketing, and the energy to make a difference. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the role of modern digital marketing practices and how these can be leveraged in the context of an independent school market. The position holder will need to be comfortable working as a core member of a small team that supports each other but allows the flexibility to propose initiatives, develop plans, and implement new ideas.

As a member of the Advancement team, the Senior Marketing Specialist actively promotes the mission of The Post Oak School in support of Admissions and Development. This individual manages full school marketing along with internal and external communication. This position reports to the development director and is part of the core administration team.

Qualified applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or relevant field with five or more years’ experience working in digital marketing. Must have in-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics and email and inbound marketing platforms. A solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and prior website administration experience is required.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or relevant field required.
  • Five or more years’ experience in digital marketing required.
  • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics.
  • In-depth knowledge of email and inbound marketing platforms.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required.
  • Up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing.
  • Intermediate or higher experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Prior website administration experience required.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal and social abilities.
  • Comfortable working around and with children and interacting with parents, faculty, and education professionals.
  • Highly creative with excellent analytical abilities.
  • Proactive, self-starter, creative, strong attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills (Windows environment).
  • Strong photography skills and a good eye for design.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advocates for the school knowledgeably and enthusiastically.
  • Positive, growth-oriented professional.
