Position: Multimedia Communications and Entrepreneurship Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Fine Arts

Position Overview:
The Oakridge School seeks a passionate, innovative, and collaborative individual to lead a cutting-edge multimedia communication and entrepreneurship program designed to equip students with the diverse skill set needed for success in the rapidly evolving job market. This multilevel program includes courses ranging from fundamentals to advanced concepts and offers a comprehensive and hands-on approach to multimedia communication and its applications in myriad industries. Successful candidates will possess a unique blend of educational leadership, industry expertise, and an entrepreneurial spirit in order to inspire students to think creatively, take risks, and apply multimedia skills in entrepreneurial endeavors.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive curriculum designed to expose students to the broad scope of multimedia communication fundamentals while nurturing divergent interests as students advance in ability.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure an optimum educational experience for students.
  • Provide formative and summative assessments, offering clear and personalized feedback to support student progress.
  • Nurture and guide partnerships with multiple on-campus divisions and departments, as well as local business entities and industry professionals, to provide students with opportunities for internships, mentorship, and exposure to real-world multimedia communication applications.
  • Partner with the Director of Marketing and Communication to create and manage social media strategies, campaigns, and student-driven content creation.
  • Curate and guide students in documenting significant events, designing layouts, and producing a creative yearbook reflective of the school year.
  • Foster an atmosphere of inclusivity and diversity within the educational setting where students from various backgrounds feel empowered and represented.
  • Engage in, and seek out professional development opportunities that contribute to ongoing growth.
  • Invest in the Oakridge community through attending events, supporting students, and speaking positively about the school
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Fine Arts and divisional administration.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Proven track record in multimedia communications, digital design, or related fields.
  • Experience in curriculum development, program management, or a teaching role is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of photography/videography and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and inspire students and supporting faculty.
  • Adaptability to emerging trends and technologies and the evolving educational landscape.
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively manage resources, including equipment, software, and facilities, ensuring a conducive learning environment.
