Marketing Communications Designer & Coordinator

The Marketing Communications Designer & Coordinator works closely with the Director of Strategic Marketing & Communications and colleagues across Advancement to create high-quality, brand-aligned communications that support the school’s priorities and storytelling. Key Responsibilities

Design and produce a wide range of marketing and communications materials, including Admissions and Advancement collateral, publications, advertising, event materials, signage, presentations, email and web assets, social media content, and other school communications.
Support Galloway’s visual brand and storytelling, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with brand standards across materials and channels.
Coordinate multiple projects from concept through production, including timelines, approvals, files, and deliverables.
Manage relationships and production with printers, vendors, and other outside partners, including preparing files for production, reviewing proofs, and ensuring quality.
Execute and maintain content across the school’s website, email, social media, digital advertising, and other communications platforms.
Create, resize, and edit photography and video assets, and capture photo and video content as needed.
Support Admissions and Advancement initiatives, including donor communications, campaign messaging, event promotion, related materials, and event support as needed.
Maintain organized creative files, templates, brand assets, photography, and other marketing resources.
Ensure materials align with brand, accessibility, and privacy standards.
Provide copywriting support for ads, emails, web copy, marketing materials, and other communications as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

 
Skills and Competencies

2-4 years of relevant professional experience in graphic design, marketing communications, or a related creative field.
Strong graphic design portfolio demonstrating proficiency in typography, layout, hierarchy, brand consistency, and print and digital design.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and project coordination skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, take direction, incorporate feedback, and collaborate effectively with colleagues across the school.
Resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Experience in an independent school or Pre-K–12 environment is preferred but not required.
Comfortable engaging with students across age groups is a plus.
