About the Position

Grace Church School is seeking a Communications Associate to join our dynamic team immediately. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications, the Communications Associate will play a vital role in supporting the reenvisioning of the school’s internal and external communications program. The communications associate will have the opportunity to write news stories, create content for social media and other digital platforms, and to contribute to creative storytelling projects.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the primary day-to-day photographer for school events
  • Creating social media content and posting to the appropriate platform
  • Managing changes to the communications calendar
  • Assisting with videography, including filming and editing
  • Assisting with news and media posts to our internal portal, GraceNet, as well as to the public-facing website
  • Making updates to internal and public-facing web pages
  • Assisting with the production of the Grace Magazine and other publications
  • Helping to draft, edit, and send emails via PushPage
  • Designing and posting slides for internal monitors and digital platforms
  • Creating and managing the photography and social media calendars
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Strategic Communications

 

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time, 12-month staff position with an expected annual salary of $55,000 – $70,000.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Experience with website content management systems, social media platforms, and email marketing software
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite—in particular InDesign and Photoshop—and Canva
  • Video and photography editing skills
  • Familiarity with Google Suite; experience with Blackbaud and HTML a plus
  • Superb attention to accuracy and detail
  • A demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and work well with multiple stakeholders toward a common goal
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and meet deadlines
  • A genuine desire to create the best possible product and a willingness to ask questions
