Pay Range: $110,000- $128,000 (Depending on Experience)

Supervises: Senior Marketing Manager

Position Summary

Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, the person in this role will help lead communication efforts to support the school’s strategic goals and mission. This person will work closely with the Advancement Team (Admissions and Development) and supervise the Senior Marketing Manager to develop and drive the school’s strategic marketing and communications plan. They will be responsible for telling the School’s story while ensuring consistent messaging in the creation of marketing collateral across a variety of platforms, as well as related internal and external communications.

 

Duties and Specific Responsibilities

  • Leadership of the Marketing team which includes developing and mentoring the Sr. Marketing Manager, while also managing relationships and negotiating agreements with contractors and outside vendors.
  • Provide oversight for brand consistency and awareness per our brand strategy guidelines throughout all marketing touch points.
  • Generate compelling and engaging content for various marketing channels, including social media, website, newsletters, and print materials, including writing, editing, proofreading text, graphic design, and visual content.
  • Partners with members of the Admissions and Development team, administrators, and other stakeholders to create materials that convey the unique strengths of Presentation to current and prospective families. Assists with attracting students/families who are mission-aligned by bringing to life Presentation’s mission and leveraging its strengths to achieve enrollment goals and Advancement objectives.
  • Advises and coordinates with the Development team to develop materials that will educate the community about the school’s philanthropic needs and initiatives, build relationships with constituents, strengthen engagement, and assist the school in meeting its fundraising goals.
  • Create and monitor Presentation’s communications calendars, as well as media relations strategy and as well as outreach.
  • Manages the school’s social media profiles, oversees and develops content to ensure a consistent and professional online presence per our brand messaging strategy.  Monitor social media trends and engage with the school community.
  • Collect data on demographics, competitors, and industry trends to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.
  • In collaboration with the Leadership Team, oversee and manage all crisis communication.

 

Education & Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The items below represent the education, and experience required or preferred.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Minimum of five to seven years of experience in a similar role preferred, with at least three to five years of people management experience
  • Commitment to the mission and educational philosophy of Presentation High School, including a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to successfully organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects under strict deadlines from concept to completion.
  • People management and team leadership skills and experience
  • Passion and expertise in social media marketing
  • Knowledge of social media management platforms (Hootsuite, Co-Schedule, SmarterQueue) is a plus.
  • Experience using e-newsletter platforms (MailChimp, Constant Contact) a plus
  • Knowledge of CMS website platforms and use of basic HTML a plus
  • Experience with Canva or graphic design a plus
  • Photography, video editing, and script writing experience is a plus
  • Available and willing to work occasional after-hour events
